چکیده مقاله |
Large-scale and accurate detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a global health challenge during the pandemic outbreak [1]. There is an urgent need to develop a rapid, accurate, sensitive, selective, easy-to-use, and cost-effective method for detecting SARS-CoV-2 [2]. Fabrication of biosensors as new types of equipment for point-of-care detections of SARS-CoV-2 has been growing. Among the different types of biosensors, which have proper performance in the detection of biological molecules, electrochemical biosensors have been used widely as sensitive and reliable tools for detecting trace amounts of biomolecules that can provide a wide linear range and low limit of detection points [3]. Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) as a new electrochemical sensing platform that are used in the fabrication of electrochemical biosensors have proper advantages like structural diversity, flexibility, high porosity, large surface areas, and a wide range of pore sizes. In order to enhance the electrical conductivity of MOFs, they can be combined with electrochemically active components (e.g., Metal Nano Particles, carbon substrates, and conductive polymers) [4]. In this study, we fabricated a label-free electrochemical biosensor for detection of biological molecules related to SARS-CoV-2. The working electrode of the mentioned biosensor was modified by using of carbon substrate, electrodeposition of noble metal nanoparticles and as a final layer, which captured the biological molecules a conductive MOF was utilized. Fabricated biosensor showed a proper sensitivity and selectivity towards detection biological molecules related to SARS-CoV-2 as well as wide linear range and low limit of detection. |
